Child & Adolescent Psychiatry

Psychiatry appointments focus on developing a careful and comprehensive understanding of a child or young person’s mental health and development within an outpatient setting.

Face-to-face: Appointments available in London.

Remote: Available when the adolescent is physically located in England.

Fees & Payment

Appointments are self-funded and payable in advance of the consultation. Payment details provided upon booking.

Insurance & Fees (Psychiatry)

Self-Funded Basis

Brave & Bloom Centre does not hold contracts with private medical insurance providers.

Using Private Insurance

While we do not bill insurers directly, we provide clear invoices/receipts if you wish to reclaim costs from your provider.

If considering insurance reimbursement, please contact your provider in advance to understand your policy coverage.

Appointments

Initial Psychiatric Assessment £1,050

90 minutes. A comprehensive assessment including history, formulation, and initial recommendations. Time is also allocated after the appointment for clinical documentation.

Follow-up Psychiatric Consultations

Prescriptions & Medication-Related Work

Consultation Prescriptions

Prescriptions issued as part of a booked consultation (initial or follow-up) are included, where clinically appropriate.

Repeat Prescriptions

Requested outside a consultation. If a request requires clinical review, it will usually be managed via follow-up.

£45 per request

Medication Queries

Queries outside appointments (email/phone) requiring clinical input are charged at professional time rates.

£75 per 10 minutes

Additional Professional Time

Work requiring protected clinical time outside scheduled appointments is charged as follows:

Telephone or Video Calls

Clinical or professional consultations via phone or video.
£75 Per 10 Minutes

Clinical Letters & Communication

Outside the routine post-appointment letter.
Brief (GP/School): £90
Longer/Detailed Summary: £180 – £300
Variable Rate

Clinical Liaison & Coordination

Working with schools, therapists, or NHS services.
£75 Per 10 Minutes

Specialist Pharmacist Consultation

Recommended for complex medication regimens.
£120 – £180 Per Consultation

Third-Party / Medico-Legal Reports

Brave & Bloom Centre does not routinely provide reports for solicitors, tribunals, insurers, or other legal proceedings.

All fees are in GBP (£). Applies to remote consultations and face-to-face appointments in London unless otherwise stated.

Cancellations & Refunds

Standard Cancellation

Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with at least 72 hours’ notice are not charged.

Late Cancellation

Appointments cancelled with less than 72 hours’ notice, or not attended, are usually charged in full.
